Finally found out what the car can do.
Well it was a great day for racing. A big thanks to Dave Potter for arranging the privite track rental at MIR today. We had a good turnout. I weighed the car prior to going to the track at the dump scales and this pig weighed 3700lbs with me in it and a 1/2 tank of gas. This is with the spare tire and the jack and no weight reduction. This is how the car sits on the street. Full exhaust with cats and no cutout. ARE stage 1 heads and (as Mikey puts it "a pu**y cam (218/223/560 lift 114LSA). BFG drag radials on TT2's 315's. (Same tires run on the street) I drive to the track with my cruise control and CD player and pull up to the staging lines and lower the tire pressure to 19 lbs and this is what I ran
1st pass
60' 1.64
1/4 11.923
MPH 112.7
2nd Pass
60' 1.61
1/4 11.83
MPH 113.2
Well there you have it. Call me a wuss, but my days at the track are done (At least racing). I feel I have a strong 11 second street car and that is exactly what my goals were when I started. I will still see you guys and gals at the track, but only as a spectator. The car is in mint condition and I plan on keeping it that way for many years to come.

Did you take your cooler out for those runs or not?
Dan, you've accomplished your goals. For anyone that hasn't seen his car, it has "best in show" appearance, yet runs strong on street tires. He literally does nothing other than lower his rear psi when racing (and he puts seven coats of wax on between runs). Find a good -2000 DA day, and that car has 11.6's in it on street tires, Stage 1 heads, and 3700 lbs. Nice job, Dan.

What Dave said. Dan had the best looking car there. True street car with no weight reduction. Dan we are going to have to get you to take the seats, spare and jack out for at least a couple of runs when the air is real good. The car has more in it. Congrats.

Bruce I know the car probably has a couple more tenths in it too, but I don't want to rag on it at the track anymore. I am happy with the times the car made and I know what my limitations are on the street No boosted up Supra's
