Default Michigan Crew home from the Shootout, some new bests...

Just wanted to say I had an AWESOME time, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the idiots I was with did too.

We had 3 cars make the trip down, all got new bests I believe.

2 heads/cam M6 cars

One with 11.65@118 and the other at 12.08 but I don't remember the MPH off hand.

I just missed my goal for the year, 9's DOH!!

Best on the day was
1.492 - 60'
4.240 - 300'
6.497 @ 108.92 - 1/8
10.000 @ 142.61 - 1/4

Yes, that was dead flat on 10.0.

Backed it up w/

1.544 - 60'
4.317 - 300'
6.562 @ 109.35 - 1/8
10.036 @ 143.54 - 1/4

Was runner up in the King of the Cain, so I guess that makes me Queen of the Cain fields <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

We got lots of video and pic's of lots of other people. I'll have more to follow later. And it was great to meet everyone I did.

It's now time to sleep, the 20 hour return trip was murder. We just got back <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Harlan, it was nice meeting you at the race. That car is just plain sick on the 2nd half of the track! 143mph!!!!

You can't get much closer than 10.000!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I'm doggass tired myself having to help unload John's (PSJ's) quiet car at 4:30 AM in a residential neighborhood...LOL...

Good to meet the Mich. crew.

Nice times! Huge Congrats. <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" />

I saw almost every run you made and the car simply boogies!

Congrats to all on the new bests!

Bitter-Sweet results I guess Matt? Glad to hear your car is better now. We could refer to you as the "Bitch of the Can Field" if you'd like <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I think a 10.doh! is much much better than a 12.doh!

W/ that mph, you're only a great launch away from the 9's.

Congrats!

PS, you doing any more shift lights?

Damn!I wish my car wasn't broken, because I really wanted to race down there with you guys. Sounds like the track was a hookin' *****! <img border="0" alt="[Firebird]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" />

That sux that you were so close, and yet so far. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Awesome MPH though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Now that the racing season is over, it's time to get back to what us Michigan boys do best... <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" />

Congrats on your new bests, nice to meet you and the rest of the Michigan crew. I loved the last minute ghetto rigged 12" long emergency power on/off switch on the back of the car!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I was surprised to see you guys down here Harlan, didn't know you were coming down. That Hawk hauls major *** on the big end, it was so cool watching it disappear down the track.

10.dohdohdoh!

My 6-speed is fun, but yours has to be REALLY fun at that high speed <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I agree with Tony. If you were behind him when he took off his car just got smaller and smaller going down the track.. It was sick..

AWESOME times, and AWESOME videos. You can tell by the video the way the car pulls harder as it moves down the track. Unbelieveable. Matt, forgive my ignorance, I don't hang out much in the FI forum, but exactly which mods do you have? I looked at your website and got some basic info, but let me ask some more specific questions...

1) What have you done to that T56 that makes it hold over 700 RWHP?
2) What kind of awesome (RAM) clutch holds 700 RWHP?
3) What stage Incon kit do you have and what, if any, internal motor mods do you have?
4) How is Incon doing as far as selling LS1 kits? Do they have all the bugs worked out?
5) What rear gear/tire size do you run?
6) How much boost were you running this weekend to pump out 143+MPH? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Thanks, pal! Your car is simply amazing. You are one of my heroes now. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

They worked them out so well that they put themselves out of buisness and dissapeared with everyones money. Harlan was lucky and got his - to bad he can't put up any respectable times with it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> haha.

10.0000000 WOW - so very close. Just think - maybe if you hadn't had that burger for lunch you could have had it - ha.

Congrats to all who had new PB and to all that didn't break.

I must go to this event next year.

It took us 18 almost 19 hours to get back to GR this morning. Pulled in this morning at 6. I ended up running a PB 12.08 @ 114.9. Not too bad, but looking for more like everyone else. Plus the car was a bit heavy at 3700 on the first qualifying pass. I could only burn off three gallons of fuel per pass and I didn't have enough gas in there to get down to 3500 lol!

It was a great time. I can forsee us fixing a bunch of cars last minute next year to make the trip even better and get more people down there. I know I had a blast for sure!
