Default Eliminator 2000+ Practice tree w/weather station

I'm planning on going for the points championship in my class next year. I didn't get to race every week this year so top 10 wasn't going to happen. But my record against this years champ is 2 out of 3, so I think I've got a good chance.

Anybody use this particular practice tree? How about the weather station option? Is it worth the extra $200?

With weather station.

Records & Stores: temp., humidity, barometric pressure and calculates corrected altitude. Logs: reaction time, 60' time, 330' time, Mid MPH, 660' time, 1000' time, MPH, 1320' time. Stores over 150 races!

I'm thinking I'm going to like my christmas present this year.

My personal thinking on this? A practice tree won't help squat unless you're a top bulb racer racing in an electronics class. A bottom bulb footbrake car requires a bit of finesse, finding your spot on the tree... Practicing your R/T's with a handheld button shares nothing in common with letting off the brake pedal and smashing the accellerator to the floor.

As far as a weather station, I've seen it get folks in more trouble than anything. The best thing is to get to know your own car. Again, YMMV, but that's my personal experience.

I wasn't sure if it would help me or hurt me.

When I do race, I stand behind the burnout box and watch every race in-between my class. I practice every run I watch. Lift foot like it's on the excelerator and hammer down when I my bulb comes on.

This method has helped me stay under a .530 pretty much all year. Had a bunch of .50*'s and even a .500. I get higher every now and then, but I'm pretty good usually.

I just want to cut lights like you do.

I would just want the weather station to get a ballpark of how much my car is going to run from say 6:30pm vs 10:00pm. It will log 150 runs. I figure that would be enough to give me an idea.

I just get tired of making it into the semi's and dial say a 7.85 and run a 7.83 because the weather changed more than I thought.

Thanks!

NASSty01,

I use this practice tree almost every day. It is one of the best around.

I will have to disagree with George on this one(which does not happen very often).

I race off the bottom bulb and use a hand held botton to practice with. I also, I stand behind the burnout box and watch every race in-between my class. I practice every run I watch. Lift foot like it's on the excelerator and hammer down when I my bulb comes on.

I use a the weather station all the time it works well for me. 3 weeks ago at the Super 10's at HRP it was right on every time Saturday. On Sunday, I just had a bad 02 problem again. I hope this helps out.

Good luck to ya.
