Default New Best - 9.841 @ 137.43 But....

1.370 60'
9.841
137.41
3340 lbs (same weight as always)
DA = -1112

Ran several 9.8x passes with bad track hook. 60's were in the 1.39 range. Later in the day, they track began to hook much better but the time clocks stopped working. The three best passes of the day that dead hooked, resulted in no time read outs. Can I speculate that the car went a 9.7x? ONYXSS seems to think so. Who knows. There was a theory at the track as to why this happened . Maybe Dave can say...lol.

Funny thing too, the worst pass of the day was off of the trans brake. Not enough hook to the track so all the 9.8x passes were flat stabbing it.

Was a rough day for two racers. First, around 11:00, a bike rolled at the 1/8th mile. Medivac helicopter showed up and off he went. About 1:30, a tubbed out Baretta lost it at the top end, flipped several times and landed on the other side of the wall. Medivac showed up again. We called it a day.

It was great to see everyone!

Mikey

Rumor has it Colonel paid the tower guys off to mess with the clocks to protect his NA record.... j/k, Colonel. I watched three back to back passes from the tree where Mikey dead hooked, only to look down the track to a fubar clock. Very frustrating.

The guys that saw that Baretta said he flipped over 10 times!!! He lost it right at the traps, so he probably flipped at 140+ mph!! Two medivacs in one day really sucks....hope they're ok, buts lots of people are speculating very serious injuries.

Congrats, I don't think anyone mentions what track it was. I assume it was Cecil?

Great runs Mikey ! Go again before the end of the year. The barometer wasn't even 30.00 today. Did Moose get into the tens? ( I hope ). Did that wind have anything to do with the two accidents? Was it a cross wind? I hope those two guys are alright.

Mickey

The one accident I think was wind related.. Guy on the bike lost hit the ground, And his helmet came off.. We wer all thinkning a cross wind may have gotten him but not sure. I had left before the 2nd accident.. I really hope those guys turn out ok..

And, no, didn't get into the 10's, but close. 12 bolt broke.. oh well..

Mikey's car is freaking awesome.. That car really comes out hard foot braking, and pulls hard the entire way.. Joe O went low 10's also with his awesome running LT1 383..

Some very fast f-bodies today at Cecil

Mikey's first pass was a new best (9.89)! Pretty awesome!

I think leaves were blowing across the track and tripping the lights. My son got one of mikey's .68 second passes. Doh!

No new best on ET side for me, but mph went up to 115.12. Pretty hard leaving w/ only 1 wheel grabbing

We think that's what caught the guy on the bike and rolled him.
