Re: FLP and the NMCA are proud to announce The Quick 8 EFI Heads Up Shootout for 2003!!!
I like the quick eight idea. There have been a couple of time were most of us NMCA EFI 11 and 12 sec guys threw $20 ea in a hat and ran the last qualifying round all out. Low ET wins.
I may have overlooked it, but I didn't see the quick 8 mentioned in the rules under EFI Eliminator.
I did see this quote from Patrick Budd on the message forum:
"It'll be heads up with a second purse; we're going to bring in lower indexes and incorporate it so the guys can still race in the index portion if they want to... Yeah, that means details to be worked out... This will be held at 5 or 6 of our events, we'll be getting you more info soon.
We're looking for the techno crazies that our program may have not been that friendly to in the past- so show us who you are and let 'er rip!!!! Rules will be based on current EFI guidelines. Quickest 8 cars will square off... Gonna be neat!"

It looks interesting no doubt! I read it over on nmca-racing.com message board.
It looks like a side bet type of thing. I wouldnt mind squaring off against some of the big hitters that have ran in that class the past couple years! LOL
Totally heads up it sounds like. Interesting. I'll be watching for more rules revisions on that as those races are within easy driving distance for me.
