I have gotten things from Smith performance and it all was great fitting and looked great. I have also gotten from other places and it was sub par (prices were the same too) Fj Smith Perfomance site.

Default Who Makes a True Bolt-in Manual Rack?

I don't want to cut and weld my steering shaft and K-frame if possible.

Thanks!

We've got a GP going w/ Brian right now on them. There hasn't been an official close date set yet, but the GP price is $545

He has welded tabs/ears onto it to fit the stock location mounting tabs on a PAR, BMR, ARE, or stock k-member.

How about the steering shaft itself?

Mikey my racks come with a new steering shaft. All I need to know is do you have a LT1 or an LS1. You can call Sled up at ARE and ask. They have used alot of my rack kits.

brian, i'm using one of your manual racks w/ an LT1 and stock k-member. if i got a BMR or PA Racing k-member and lower A-arms, would your rack still fit and would there be any modifications needed? i had to drill out my stock A-arms originally. thanks.

My racks fit all k-members that will take the factory P/S rack. If you have one of my racks on a stock k-member then you can put it on an aftermarket one.

JS, the rack is a bolt on you have to weld one bracket to your k-member for a support. Everything else is a bolt on that you can do in your garage.

I guess I got to TIG weld the support bracket onto my moly k-member if I want to go to one.

You can bolt the rack on and drive the car somewhere close and have it welded on.

I was just being lazy not wanting to have to get my buddy to bring his TIG welder over (vs. my easy access to a MIG).

My car is down a hill in a polebarn with inches of snow between it and freedom, so, anytime soon, it won't be driving anywhere. Take care.

How much weight does this save? What kinda power gains from having no power steering?
