Default Sooo, I yanked out my a/c system, weight reduction #'s within

So, last week I yanked it out and I finally got around to weighing everything:
Compressor: 14.5
a/c radiator thingee: 8.5
pulley and metal bracket: 2.0
silver bottle thing and bracket: 2.5
Misc metal and rubber lines: 2.0
Misc bolts: 1.0
Total 30.5 pounds off the nose
Not bad at all
Also it opens up sooooo much room under the hood
Pics will be posted sooner or later
This is for a 1997 v6 firebird
Now, all I want for Christmas is traction!!!!

Best old weight 3080 n/a w/o driver
I guess maybe 3050 now??
Can I hit the elusive 2900's???

The countless times that the windows fogged up on the chevelle sucked!
I had a mini defogger but it just didn't work that well.
I would love to do it if it was only a track car but I wanna drive it here and there on the street.
It really would clean up that engine bay sooo much more though, sigh

a/c radiator thing= looks just like a real radiator, I think it is called a condensor?
Dunno, looked like useless weight to me

My porker will be looseing the A/C too. Time to shed some pounds. I would really like to loose about 200lbs.

It`s just too bad we don`t (or didn`t) have the option to buy a Camaro/Firebird without air as an option. That way, the blower motor housing would not have to accomidate the other A/C component(s) thereby making it smaller and making access to that side of the motor that much easier! Oh well.

What is the A/C radiator thingy? I just pulled mine last night and want to make sure that I got everything. Is that what the hoses from the compressor and condenser are running to on the radiator? I just figured it was actually the radiator they went to.

EDIT: went back out there today and looked, it's amazing how much better you can see in the day. I found it and pulled it. Thanks.
