Nice! What does a regular 12 bolt weight? How much more weight can you take from the ring gear? How about from gun drilled axles?

Finally what does a 10 bolt weight, 120#?

Thanks! It's nice to see someone out there has drag racing in mind when putting rear ends together.

With a TA cover, backing plates and fluid, my 10 bolt weighed 160lbs....my Moser 12 bolt with TA cover,33spline axles,Eaton, backing plates and fluid weighed 196lbs. A 135lb 12bolt is superlite.

WOW!!!! I'm interested in some more info about this rear. I was reading on your site that it's for like an 8 or 9 second car. My car isn't that fast and I drive it everyday I was wondering if this would be an over kill or if it would actually be a good choice since I drive my car everyday? Does it whine a lot? Info Please!!!!

Thanks
Joe

We developed this package with naturally aspirated or mild power adder drag cars in mind (low 10sec to high 9 sec). This rear is not heavy enough for a more serious low 9 sec to high 8 sec car. For it's intended use, however, it will prove to be much quicker than a standard 12 bolt or 9 in.

Terry,

Normally 4-5 lbs can be removed from the ring gear. This does, however, reduce the life of the gear because it will flex more under acceleration. Also, 3-4 lbs can be removed from each axle with the Ultra-lite flange option.

Thanks

Jay....you are really coming out with some great f-body parts lately!

Regarding your A/C delete plate...will that work on the LS1 cars as well? Or is it specific to LT1 cars?

Nice! I know what I'm getting when I get my tax return. How much extra for a 3.89 gearset?
