CRIPES! What are you 9" guys running for a rear swaybar?
The stocker won't fit around that big ole thing. For those interested: right now my car is pretty much a race car driven on the street...
!ABS
!swaybars
!mufflers
spool
4.56 gears
soon to be !power steering
Anyway, I may be trying to take back my M6 bolt-on record from Sean (01-Z) as early as this Saturday, but I need help with the rear swaybar thing. Whatever do I do?

I used the stock swaybar with this kit too. It comes with poly swaybar bushings, correct-length endlinks, and all hardware.
One tip: Grind a little of the powdercoating off the adapters where they touch the 9" housing. That way, if you decide to weld them on, they will be easier to weld. Welding them is not required, BTW, but I welded mine on after bolting them on because (1) I didn't like the idea of the U-clamp rotating, even a little, around the axle housing, and (2) I was afraid of pinching the axle housing if I tightened the U-clamps too tight to keep them from moving. But then, I'm **** like that.

Assuming the Wolfe/BMR stuff isn't an option, and you want the car immediately. A pair of 3.5" Muffler Clamp will work just fine. Cost ya less then Spohn's kit also. May not be as pretty, but hey, ya want the car finished don't ya?

The BMR will come in the future...
Kurt, the car is done and I'm driving it with no swaybars. I like the pair of 3.5" muffler clamps idea. That's great. Thanks a lot, partner.

I have the Spohn kit, bought it a long time ago, and it was very spendy, $60 for stuff that started rusted the next day.
I'd get some 3.5" muffler clamps, you might need to take some bar stock and make some 1" spacer blocks and drill thru them. If you play with it all you should figure it out.

Re: CRIPES! What are you 9" guys running for a rear swaybar?
So I'm new to running a car with a 9". I'm finishing car now (94Z28 with LS1). Gears are out getting set up. Other than a roll bar it should be ready to go.
I do not have a rear sway bar in the current set up, but could add.
What am I in for without the bar?
Should I just go to the junk yard and pull one, or spend some $$.
The car for now is just a 346 bottom with stock heads and a tr224 cam, so its tame. Maybe I'll spray it a little later this year.
Thanks. Looking forward to getting back to the track after this summer's Formula wreck.

Without a bar you are in for some SERIOUS axle lift (and therefore unloading of the right rear tire.) NOT good for launching. Plus, it's wasted motion.
A stock bar would be MUCH better than none at all. You could add an airbag for a little extra roll resistance. But as far as the swaybar goes for drag racing, the stiffer the better.

I drove around with no rear swaybar for a while and the car handled like crap and was inconsistent at the track 60ft-wise.
