Default First time at drag strip. Not too bad!!!

Hey i went to the drag strip for my first time today and ran 13.122 with only an air lid, cutout and the hole cut under the aif filter. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Within the next month i will be getting a converter, y pipe and getting rid of the cats.

Does anyone know what I could do to get in the 12's until I get this stuff?

Very nice! The secret to a 12 is usually in your 60' time. What was yours??

IMO, the goal is solving your traction issues first. BIG STICKY TIRES! Get you a set of 16x8's used, cheap. Mount some MT ET Streets on them and take em to the track with you. Cut a 60' time under 2.0. That's 12 seconds without the converter. That torque converter is going to cause problems on stock tires this chilly time of year.
Remove front sway bar, short belt, free mods, weight reduction, all of which cost very little and a little time.
