1- takes longer (more distance) to stop. I think 20 more feet or more in a panic situation to come to a dead stop.
2- can maneuvre a bit but not crazy, the car might just still go straight or you might even fold over a wheel. I had a stang friend who took a corner too fast and the car just plowed and he hit the curb and bent the rim.

I second what Pro Stock John said. I had 15x4 convo pros up front, with MT sportsman tires, and getting an on-ramp about 30mph(usually take it at 45mph, but I was being careful) I was just turning, nothing crazy and the car kept going straight, barely hit the brakes and they locked up. So 65mph and you having to avoid a deer, I'd say be real careful on what you decide to do. It's better to hit the deer, than to kill yourself. But if you drive smart, and not ***** to the wall, I think you'll be just fine. But they definately reduce your braking and ability to corner, sharp turns, and manuever quickly, etc. They definately are a must have imo at the track. My convo pros with heavy tires were 28lbs lighter than my front stock ss wheels/tires.

Convo-Pro's are great. Just look out for potholes, bib bumps, etc. on the street. No, they do not handle like your 16's or 17's do taking corners, or on the exit ramps....But for lightness at the track, and having "the right look", they're boss.... You be ok as long as you get standard radial tires for the skinnies, and not the actual "skinnies". I had them on my car all last year and had zero problems.

Re: Can you stop/maneuver with skinnies?
I've had my 15x4" Convo Pros on for a few days. I love them. I removed my front G2 sway bar and added the skinnies at the same time. Honestly, I cannot tell any difference at all in the way the car handles. Of course, I'm not pushing it hard through the corners, but I've taken 80 degree turns at 30 mph or so and the car held fine. I've braked kinda hard and it seems to stop just as quick as stock. I haven't had to do a panic-stop though.
