im not big on kicking rods out the side of my block like many of you.if i put arp rod bolts in my car would that take me out of the "bolt on" class? we all know how much hp those arp rod bolts add. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I don't have any idea what this has to do with External Engine since rod bolts are internal engine parts. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> Since it's really a drag racing related question I'll move it there.... <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

I would say yes you are no longer internally stock. Oil touches them. Plus unless you have a vette you cant get to them with the motor on the mounts because the K member is in the way. With them you can spin the motor to a higher RPM so you have that advantage over an internally stock motor. Dont konw though because spinning the motor higher wont make it go any faster if its internally stock.

Stock Internals is based solely on the individual being honest about what is done to they're car.

If rod bolts were the only mod.. why pull the motor and not do more? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Like you said, they don't add horsepower.. just doubt <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

My thought.. only a few people (on the 'net) really care, it's your car, do what you like with it. The list is fun.. but just that, FUN. Not an official "class".
