Default Fitting 28"x12.5" ET Street

I have a 95 Formula, I am getting ready to order some 28" ET Streets. I will be using a 10" Weld Pro-Star with 7.5" Backspacing. I know I will need to use an adjustable panhard rod, but will I have clearance issues and need adjustable LCAs to better clear wheelwell?

Thanks,

Dave

I run a similar combo with no spacers...

-I ground the calipers.
-I had to hammer in part of the inner fenders where the tires will rub
-I deburred and hammered in the front lower part of the inner fender.
-I bent down the bump stop but did not remove it.
-I used a razor and conservatively trimmed the rear bumper cover (try adjustable lca's and perhaps avoid this?)

IMO you need a thumb of clearance all the way around otherwise when the tires grow they will rub.

I'd try to keep the cutting to the rear bumper to a minimum, because if you do too much it's noticeable from the side. Mine is pretty stock looking on the side..

when i first ran 28" tires they rubbed on the front of the wheelwell at 130+. i moved the rearend back quite a bit and cut the rear bumper so i now have plenty of room for a 29-30".

i cut off the travel limiter, cut a little bit of the metal away by where the spring is, and did a bunch of hammering at the front of the wheelwell and all along the inside. i now have 28x14.5 QTPs with 7.5" BS and still have extra room between the inside of the tire and the inner wheelwell all the way around
