i know that some of you guys remove your front sway bar for the drasg strip. can enyone explain to me how this helps, aside from the obvious small amount of weight reduction? pro's/con's

It also lets the front end lift higher.I have had mine off for about a year.Try it.It only takes about 15 minutes to take it off.

Highly recommended, it will help the launch a bit.
And don't trivialize that minimal weight loss, it is off the nose and every ounce counts. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I would take it off and leave it off. Drive for a week with it off and you will not even remember it was there. Plus my endlinks broke when i tried to take mine off. Stupid chicago road salt must of rusted them. So I kind of had no choice because i wasnt going to buy new endlinks.

so removing the front sway bar doesn't have any negative effects on daily driving? how about taking tight, fast turns?
