Over 150,000 invested but it only runs 10s. Whats up with that. Hell even Sanders got into the 9s with his 150,000 in his car.

Remember this is NHRA stock eliminator. I'm not sure what the record is for an LS1 in C/SA but I'm sure somebody does.

It cost alot of money to go S/E racing with a brand new Hot Rod. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

S/E racing you can only run stock heads. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Hell, I have about 40,000.00 in my Hot Rod now. <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

I was just giving Colonal a hard time. Yeah the stock heads part is what gets hard. Does it have to be stock bottom end still except for rod bolts or whats the rules on that. I think i am the only person who doesnt have an NHRA rule book.

That car is from my neck of the woods. Most of the work is done in a small 2 car garage out in rural Kansas!!

Marty Burke is from Flower Mound, Texas! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I know that this type of Hot Rod has been moved into one of the EFI classes that NHRA has started this year. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Well, if I sell my current Hot Rod maybe I could start racing this bad to the bone Hot Rod. <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

If anyone is interested, the guy selling the C5 is named Alan Holt.

He is selling a complete 2001 longblock, 200 trans, and converter for $6700.

The C5 has gone 10.5 @125-128mph, 60's in the 1.3's and has a live rear axle conversion.

Neat guy to talk to on the phone.

The car is extremely nice and will go faster. The chassis will handle a nice stroker. It has a certified cage and all the 9 sec stuff.

We had the car at the shop for some tuning and there is a FAST system for the car and a Holley 950. The car is worth the money.

Since Marty was pitted right next to Al at the time and was strutting around about taking the record, Al decided to rub his nose in it a little bit. Since Al hates to work on the car though (and the fact there's no money in records), he refused the record and mandatory tear down that comes with it.

Yeah Alan mentioned that he has used Madman.

He said the rearend conversion was $35,000.

We need a baller like Doubalouba to pick this baby up.
