Default Help me pick tires for my new drag wheels/gears!!

Well, here is my debate. I'm getting 15" wheels up front and in back for the track. The back wheels are 15x10's I believe.

That being the case, what size ET drag should I get?

I'm thinking a combo of 4.30 gears, and a 28x10.5x15 or 28x11.5x15 tire will be perfect.

This will allow me to cross the traps at around 120mph, 300-400rpms shy of my peak power which is 6400rpms.

When I decide to throw a power adder on there, I'll still have room to go as fast as 138 or so.

What do you guys think? Too much tire?

I'm looking to pick up .3-.4/3-4mph with the addtion of the 4.30 gears, skinnies and lighter 15" wheels in the back over my current setup and think I should be crossing the traps around 120mph.

I guess when I add my power adder I should just switch tires.

I got 3.73's and a 3500 stall, and I have the Hoosier 27x11.5x15 QTP, I'm going to see how they do with the new addition of the supercharger...

But they are damn good tires... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Yup just swap to 28s when you spray.
