Default What is considered a good HC ET with full interior?

Hey guys,

Just curious as to what you all consider a competitive time for a HCI car with full interior and 6 point roll bar.

I was thinking 11.30-11.40@121'ish for a six speed car and sub 11.20@119ish for a A4 car with stall.

Say a raceweight of around 3500 pounds.

I am going to be racing the car with full interior plus 6 point this year and am hoping to hit around 11.2X@121mph in full street trim with slicks/skinnies at approx 3500 pounds raceweight. (Might compete in the 11.0 bracket at the OSCA if I can find non-interior weight reduction items to remove )

Just curious as to your thoughts...
Cheers,
Chris

I dont think 11.2's are doable in 90+ summer heat though?

Hell, who knows. All these new combos with awesome HP keep coming out. Maybe 10's in 100* will be the norm soon.

Anyway, Im thinkin 11.4's or better all year round is pretty good.

Yeah I think 11.30's would be tough in 2500 DA. But who knows the track often hooks like a bitch in that temp...

With just a cam, on drag radials, I've run a best of 11.29@118 and a couple of 11.34's@118 at a 3540 raceweight. This was at about a -300 to +300 D/A.
In that I think a car with heads and cam should have no problem running these numbers at +2500 D/A.

Hell, I've run 119+ at 3350 in mid-summer Mississippi heat with just a cam.

I'd say...

~1000 DA
3500 raceweight
average barometer
M6= 11.4@120mph
A4= 11.2@118mph

In colder fall MW air I saw folks drop almost two full tenths and pick up 1-2 mph with no other changes.

I am curious of where you guys are getting 3500lbs as the race weight of a full interior car?

i'm curious as to just what is considered a "full interior?" is there a general consensus on this?

Full interior = backseats, front seats, all speaker panels and the like.

With a 1.5 60' in a 6speed car and a good driver, I would say 11.30 @ 122+ mph would be about right.

Full interior in my mind is all seats, panels, carpet (stock or lightweight) stereo etc.

It is easy to get 3500 pound raceweight with a light optioned cloth interior car if you do some stealth weight reduction
Skinnies, slicks, !front Sway bar, etc etc..

My definition of a "full" weight interior is NO weight reduction done at all. You run it just like it came out of the factory(including spare & jack). Of course different tires(skinnies/DR's/slicks) and lighter weight replacement modifications are perfectly AOK since that is part of dragracing.

I think 11.20/119 in a 3500lbs+ car Is far from average. I think Average full interior car 3500+ pounds cars got 11.40-11.80 I am just going by the signatures i see on the boards and what i see at the tracks. Its like when i see 440 rwhp for a h/c combos that is not an average #. Ive seen lots of h/c cars dyno sheets that are anywhere from 357-399 from alot of the big name shops. I am hoping to run 11.20`s with my new heads and converter but Ive already beat lots of h/c cars at 11.70 . Some of you guys cars run awsome but you are definitly not the average at that weight. Most low 11 sec cars Ive see weigh in at 3200-3350 with driver. Ofcourse all you guys that have posted on this thread are known to have some of the fastest street cars. All of your Cars run so good everyone looks to you guys for advise and tech assistance.
