Default disaster at the strip... Possible bent pushrods.....

Last run today shifting from 3rd the 4th i believe i hit second. the low trac. light came on and the car jerked and sounded like it broke in half. rolling through 3/4 track the car died and would not start right away when i stopped and tried to start it. I got it strarted and drove it home. I barly idles and when you reach the friction point the shifter and tranny shake like S$#&. any help would be appreciated. mario

I did the same thing. I would say you're gonna have to pull the heads and check the valves. I only bent 3 valves and pushrods but all my pistons had valve marks on them.

Could have damaged the trany as well. I would pull the v/covers now and see what is there then go through everything to see what could be damaged.

when the car is running it barly idles and there is a fast ticking noise. I just hope it is nothing more than pushrods and valves. the fu#*&# up thing is i have to drive it to a friends house to have him look at it. how expensive will it be for parts pushrods and valves ect. thanks mario

Just saw you are from renton
Where are you taking the car? I might be coming down to everet with a trailer to get my car this weekend and if you need it towed somewhere i will toss it on and move rather than hurt the car more.
