ET streets on daily drivers?? Mileage question
how well do they hold up for say 140mile back and forth trips?? Does the tread wear really fast on a cold road?
I just dont want to have to take them off for every trip to the supermarket and etc while drag racing is still in its prime weather
what PSI is best for street use also?
18-20?

Re: ET streets on daily drivers?? Mileage question
id put them on and leave them on for a while. it only sucks when you go back to regular tires but id drive an hour and a half to the track and back and then drive around for a couple weeks with them on. wear- well, you can figure that out the harder you push them the quicker they will wear. for a drag tire they lasted a decent amount of time though. i got full slicks so i wont be doing that anymore

Re: ET streets on daily drivers?? Mileage question
I got 12,000 miles out of my E.T. Streets and I ran them hard. Street racing, many passes at the track. I still have a little left on them. They probably would have gone 13,000 miles, but one kept leaking air, so I bought some new ones.

Re: ET streets on daily drivers?? Mileage question
i tired 28 in mine and the first turn I went around scared the hell outta me. After that I got use to it, but im gonna have to raise the PSI a little. Maybe 30-35 would work... i jut dont wanna burn the center out with that high PSI on the street

Re: ET streets on daily drivers?? Mileage question
I've been running ET Streets and ET Fronts for quite some time. Many trips back and forth from San Antonio to Houston and from San Antonio to Austin. No issues with excessive wear. I do drive slow though.

Re: ET streets on daily drivers?? Mileage question
hell, i havent put 2-3k miles on mine in a year
in my case they would last me about 3-4 years or street driving LOL
if they last 3k on the street thats pretty good to me. 6-10 is just a added bonus
thanks for the info everyone

Re: ET streets on daily drivers?? Mileage question
I put mine at 25-26 psi for the highway.
They will harden with a lot of street driving I have been told.
I would drive to US41 on mine and then race.
If I got caught in heavy rain I would drive 25-30mph.

Re: ET streets on daily drivers?? Mileage question
this is really interesting honestly. but anywhere near the rain (and us florida peeps know it rains like a mother there), and no good.
this is particualarly interesting considering teh BFG does not get many miles out of them either. now i know they are much better of a tire on teh highway, but still.....if you can get even more miles than the BFG, why bother?
