Default installed motor & trans as one piece

I was debating whether to try installing my motor and trans as one after seeing some posts. but I tried it and installation was easy! for those of you thinking about pulling the motor/trans as one and installing as one go for it!

hope to be done by the end of april... <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

DId you do it from the top? We always pull them as one when we drop them out the bottom.

Remember the T400 is shorter than a 4L60e

Also, how high off the ground was the car when you did it.

I removed the engine+trans(4l60) from the top with a cherry picker and also installed the engine/trans (th400) from the top with the cherry picker.

I didn't use any load leverler or similar device, just a chain. The BMR k member frees up some room too.

My car is about 2 1/2 foot high.

been there, done that <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

its really not that bad to just pull and install them together from the top with a chain. all you have to do it get the car in the air a bit so you can angle the tranny down. happy hooker? waste of $$$

15" may be pushing it a bit, I'd try to get a bit higher.
