rear sway bar adjustments
Hey guys, I just installed a BMR xtreme rear sway bar in hopes to cure the twisting action on my launch... I am currently cutting mid 1.4 60's (1.44-1.46) and have no rear air bag. Which side do I need to adjust, and which way to preload the rear to help launch even? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: rear sway bar adjustments
I just played with the preload on the passenger side until the car left nice and straight/level.
My passenger rear side sits up ~1/4" higher than the driver side (because of the preload).

Re: rear sway bar adjustments
This is how David Wolfe taught me to set up a car with a sway bar:
1. Center rear end side to side
2. Center rear end in wheel well front to back
3. Set pinion angle using the harmonic dampner and pinon gear face as reference points
4. put jack under kmember and lift evenly until front wheels are 2" off the ground with the driver in the seat(or at least that much weight there)
5. adjust passenger sway bar link until passenger door corner is 1/8" lower than same point on drivers side
If car goes left, shorten passenger link 1/2 turn
If car goes right, lengthen passenger link 1/2 turn
I've installed Wolfe's sway bar on 10 cars(from 12 second cars down to my own 8 second and 9 second cars) and adjusted them this way. Out of the 10, 7 needed no further adjustment. The other three only took 1/2 turn to make them run dead straight.

Thanks guys, I'll give that a try tomorrow before heading to the 1/8 mile track. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
