Default How do you "PROP" up your pin on hood?

Those who have pin on hoods, how do you prop up your hood at the track or maybe a car show etc?

Do you just stick a pole in the front and rest the back on the windshield tray?

Does anyone have any pics of your pin on propped up?

Thanks,

Lee

Better yet, have semi dense foam in a couple spots on the hood (Non Flammable preferrably <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> ), then when you take the hood off, you just lay it on the roof of the car. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I lift mine off and set it on the roof...

I need to put some foam underneath, as it's put some scratches on the roof. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

What about hoods that are pin on in the front and are still bolted on like stock in the back?

foam is the way to go and lay on the roof <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

If still mounted to the rear hinges you can buy some hood prop pieces like the nascar guys use that are like a hinge..

If its windy at the track putting your hood on the roof could cause it to blow off (ouch)

I don't have a hood prop yet. I;ll get one this week. In the mean time, I'll have my wife hold th hood open while I work on the car. She is short so I can set my beer on her head too. Short girls ROCK. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

When I get the hood props installed I'll post pics. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
