Default 11.52@116.50 A4 TCS 4200/B1 cam

Welp i scored a new best spinning last saturday. Track prep was awsome so i learned that the pinion angle was to blame for most of my traction problems and a BMR adjustable torque arm is on the way . I have all the bolt ons except ASP pulley and ls6 intake. I'm running the B1 cam,TCS 4200 stall,4.10s and 26x10 ET Drags. Car weight was 3,390 lbs on 1/4 tank of gas with temps in the upper 40s.

60ft. 1.57 <--spinning
1/8th 7.31@93.40
1000ft. NA
1/4 11.52@116.50

My best 60ft. of the night was a 1.56. The car's suspension was unloading after the tires hit from the launch and would spin about 3/4-1 full tire rotation then grab. The stall hits HARD with 4.10s and is in need of suspension dialing in so im sure with the new torque arm and getting the ET Drags to plant solid it should run way into the 11.40s and maybe a high 11.39 if the weather is right. Going to make a few changes and head back in the next week and see how it does

Good run..I like your mild combo. The old B1 cam can still hold its own.

Sounds Good Scott!

Once you get the car to hook are you going to put a pully and an ls6 intake on the car?

Congrats!!
New Torque arm with -3 degrees pinion angle should help with the unloading of the tires

Stacy, give me a call and i can see if i can hook you up on the tranny rebuild.

Mike, yes i will get the intake and pulley soon along with a better flowing exhaust (3" true dual ) because the stock catback SUCKS!

I was thinking of -2 on the pinion angle but would -3 be the better way?

Yes the car retains stock heads that have never been off and will most likely stay that way for awhile.

FINALLY!!! Some TCS converter results. How do you like that Converter? Is this your first converter or did you switch to this one from another converter? I am thinking seriously about going to a TCS, wanting to get the best I can out of my car stock internal. Any info, good or bad about this converter would be greatly appreciated. If you don't want to post it all here you can PM me.

TIA

Lynda

Lynda,I was running the Vig.3200 and swaped to the TCS 4200. This converter hits alot harder than the Vig. and pulls stronger through the 1/8th mile. My MPH did not go up any but some of that has to do with adding 50lbs to the car. Even though it's pulling a 1.56 60ft. it was spinning and most people can't understand that but the car feels like it was skateing on ice. Like i said earlier there is alot more left at the 60ft. mark with some suspension tweaking and there is another local with the same stall as mine but hits a little softer that has pulled a 1.50 60ft. My goal is to get it in the 1.49 range without breaking first lol but this is my 3rd 10 bolt so i already know it is on borrowed time haha! Hey i need a 12 bolt but for $300-$400 for a 10 bolt that will last 8 months out of the year is hard to pass up when the money is not there.

I have nothing but good words to say about derek and his converters and it is showing that there might be a new kid on the block for the LS1 converter world

Hot damn!! Its no doubt to me the cam only average will be 11.2-11.4 by next year! It use to take every bit of heads/cam to get low 11's, but times are changin

when you get that intake and pulley she gonna atleast be in the 11.3 range man!

looks like im gonna have to go out and get a gear to stay ahead now MUAHAHAH LOL
