Hmm, if you're willing to remove those already, you'll probably be willing to remove a whole lot more as you get faster.

I don't know what your definition of an expert is. If it's someone with years of mechanical knowledge and expertise then I'm not your man but if it is simply someone who knows these LS1 F-Bods good enough to go fast, then I guess I can help a little bit.

To answer your question, 11.4s are attainable with a near full weight SS. For example, my set up plus 4.10 gears and a C1 cam should get me into the 11.2 to 11.4 range. Now, I've shed about 200 pounds and I have a Stripper model so that is not quite full weight. But throw my seats back in and keep all of the panels in and it sure does look like it's full weight.

Add a light weight battery to the things you are willing to do and you will have lost about 150 pounds total; including the lightweight wheels, !sway bar, !spare and !jack.

You'll need a good converter and some deeper gears too. I'd say 3.73s at the very least and a 3200 vigilante at the very least. I'd recommend a 3600 vig or a Yank Pro Thruster 4400.

So, all the bolt-ons and a PROVEN cam, deeper gears and a big converter, minus 150 pounds should, could, and might get you there. You'll just have to find out yourself.

wow almost seems to easy..

i'm not gonna gut the thing out, if anything i might go with that lightweight k member. I like all my creature comforts. I want to go fast with all the amenities.

i've been told a yank ss3600 or ss3800 would work.

i would go with the 3800 since i heard its pretty tight on the street. this car will be street driven not just a strip warrior.

That is some good advice. I second that C1 112 cam choice and also the Yank SS3800. As far as rear gear is concerned, I'd do that last. My car is daily driven and the stock 3.23s work very well with the Yank ST3500 (1.4X 60 fts). If you are planning on keeping the 10 bolt, I would stay with the 3.23 gears for durability. I turned 11.60s in average air before dialing in the custom tuning and MTI Stage 2 heads. With this set-up I have turned 11.38s in full street trim (3550#s) on Nittos thru stock full exhaust. This was in average +500 to +1000 DA. I would suggest long tube headers, good custom tuning and a good cold air induction set up like the FTRA or Super sucker. These items are critical IMHO. Good luck to you.
