Default M-6 launch RPM?

What does everyone launch at. Please include mods and tires. I'm most interested in street and drag radials

Drag Radials and street tires you say.

There is such a fine line between a good launch on either type of tires, and having the car fall flat on its face. Rather then bore you with what I THINK you should try, you should experiment.

My old launches:
Street tires on the street--1800 RPM, heavy footing the throttle and feather the clutch
Street tires at the strip--2100 RPM doing the same as above. NO BURNOUTS!! Just quick spin to clean em off.

Drag Radials on the street 2800 RPM, heavy footing the throttle, feather the clutch. Medium to heavy burnout. Should see some good smoke.
Drag Radials at the track 3200 RPM, same as above for launch technique. Medium burnout, stop when you see some smoke. NO DRY HOPPING!! Smoke em and hit the prestage.

Now all of those RPM's are my best guess. You didnt get to specific about any mods you have, and there are some big variables. I had a lowered car with no relocation brackets, trailing arms, and a panhard bar. A dry shot of 75 nitrous at the top of 1st gear, and I smoked the **** out of my clutch. As I put more money into the car, with better tires, better suspension, and an adjustable torque arm I easily added 1000 more RPM's to my launches. On a good night 1500 RPM more. Its just a hit and miss game. Just be ready to either smoke the tires at launch, or bog the car. But sooner or later, you will hit that magic launch. The gods will smile, and you will have a 60ft time worth bragging about.

Sorry for being so long winded. I just got off from work, and drank to much coffee

ON Nittos I heat up the tires untill there is good bit of smoke and then come out off the brake and still in the gas. when you fell the car surge hard forward , it is ready to launch with NO dry hops. I always pump my clutch a couple of times to get the most out of it and then stage. Then i pull up just enough to light the second stage light ( shallow stage) and bring revs to 4000 at a decent track and 4500 at a good track. at 4000 rpms I average 1.72 to 75 60/ft.s and at a good track(No Problem raceway ,home of the thunder southern shootout) I leave at 4500 rpms and have pulled 2 back to back 1.673's in a row on 245x50x16's nittos.See sig for suspension mods and take off the front sway bar and I had skinnies on the front for those 1.67's
