Default what will happen in I go sub 12.0?

What would happen if I were to break into the 11's at a nhra track during test and tune sessions? From what I have read once you hit an 11.99 you need some sort of roll bar, correct? Is this enforced during test and tunes, or just brackets and other competitions?

I might be putting a nx maf kit with 100 shot on my car at some point and think I will probably break into the 11's with good rubber on the back. Basically what will happen if I go to the track during a test and tune, with no roll bar and hit 11's? From that point, has anyone encountered this at Mason Dixon in MD?

Thanks
Fry

I hope to have this problem soon.

Depends on the track. Some are easy, others are to the letter.

At Moroso, you can get away with it every now and then, but they remember you, so if you run a lot, they will blackball your ***. Even if you run the 11 on your last pass of the night.

I am putting high priority in the next several months to crack the 11's with H/C/Bolt Ons and Nittos.

A roll cage would be a must here, once they know you.

"What will happen if I go 11's?" --- You'll want 10's -- just couldn't resist

But really. Some tracks have done the "true street" car - can go 11.4999 without a cage. Some will warran you once and than kick you off. Some will kick you off with the 1st 11 second pass.

Solution: either get a roll bar; go to an IHRA track; or just don't do it

According to the track I go to, Mason Dixon you have to have a helmet with a pass of 13.2 or less. I don't know how that compares to nhra rules, but thats what they tell us.

With that in mind, what would you suspect them of doing with an 11.xx pass?

At my track you have to wear a helmet for 13.99 or faster.

Track hereabouts seems to enforce much stricter
rules - wanting Snell rated helmets of such-and-such
year or newer, no passes with the top down, etc.
even though NHRA rules are somewhat looser in the
details.

And it's not even a very good track.

I wanna do 12s with the top down and no helmet,
dammit. Da man bustin' my style.

Anyway, a lot of it seems to be local operators'
discretion so you want to check the track rules.

all you need it tires for 11's

to answer the original question, the ihra tracks are a lil more leinent(sp?) than the nhra tracks, some are 11.99 some are 11.5 i think
then there are tracks like one of the ones over here where you can go 10's with 4 people in the car with no helmet and a beer in your hand, ever heard of eunice.
