For those of you who have weighed your cars: how/where did you do it?

most tracks will have a scale. if its not on or you can't figure it out, ask an employee to help you.

away from the track just find a trucking place with a scale that looks feasible to sneak in and out of quick to weigh the car.

The best way is to put it on a scale, and read the number that is displayed... Sorry, I couldn't resist...

But seriously, like SilverGhost wrote, most dragstrips do have a scale that they will open from time to time (or you can request that they open it), or you could try to find a local truck weigh station and see if they will let you weigh your car there...

for my crew that consists of going to the one by speed inc waiting around till nobody is looking and shooting in, jumping out of the car, reading weight, jumping back in and cruising on outta there lol.

Local grain elevators are a good source for scales too. My Grandpa worked for our local Co-op for years, and my Dad would take his drag car there to have it weighed.

Stop by a local truck stop. The big rig kind. They usually are located just outside of the city but most truck stops I have been to have a scale. Those guys are under weight restrictions depending on where they are going.

There is a CAT scale where i live and thats where I get my car weighed. Costs $8-10. I'd say weights are pretty close, my car weighed in at, stock with a full tank of gas, @ 3500lbs. I got it down to 3300 by removing some odds and ends, spare tire, rear seat, CATback etc and 1/4 tank with more to be removed.

A truck stop is your best bet.

I was looking around for some kind of digital scale that could weigh up to 1000 LBS and just weigh each corner of the car. But I cant find anything like that.
