Default Need a street 10 sec car.

OK guys basically I want a street driven 10 sec car. I have everything in my sig, not instaled yet, plus about $6,000 more. I have stock pistons, crank, and connecting rods, and everything else internal other than the cam. What do i need to do. The only suspension mods I have would be the drag lauch springs and the BMR toquq arm. I amslo have a S3 ported throttle body.

This is a chance to help a youg guy out. I really need help, thanks in advance.

if you want to do it the easy way put a small slick on it, a fuel pump and a nice 150 dry shot.

if you want the power all the time you'd want pistons and forced induction about 10psi give or take

Start with a FULL suspension (k member, control arms, shocks, springs, etc.) the lighten it up w/ a 'glass hood and as much other parts that u can take out while being comfortable driving. Then see where you are from there.

gonna need displacement then to keep it as street as possible and make enough power.. but of course then you are fighting with mileage.. like i said.. nitrous or FI

gonna depend largely on what you can put up with for street manners and just how much driving this car will see, that's what it really comes down to.

my car for example is a kiss away from a 10 second motor pass, gets over 20 mpg on the highway with 4.71 gears has a heater(aftermarket light one) and stereo and leather..which to me all makes the car perfectly comfy for cruising around in(i put 3K miles on it in 7 months or so last season), but to some folks it wouldn't be b/c of the 8 point rollbar, shitty ride from full drag suspension and the spool in the rearend. i personally would daily drive my car if i had to for some reason, i could deal with if i had to, and there are others that would call it a race car compared to what their version of a street cruiser is.

Well, I guess Iam just going to get a rear and a twin turbo and forged internals and a new fuel system so that right there will probably do it.
