Default question for all with 1/4 turn hood fasteners

dam things dont have the best instructions so i wanted some first hand knowlege from yall that have done these and have some insight on the easiest way to do it.

do you rivit the plates on then mark the hood for drilling after they are done, and any tips on placement of the brackets. i know you have to add a support bracket for the fiberglass rivited brackets so it dont pull through. but any placement or instalation tips would be nice

also, did yall fit the hood and drill the holes before getting it painted and then clean up the holes carfully to put the clips back on the hood or just drill the holes after its painted

pics would be nice if yall can get any

thanks in advance
Rodney

The way I've done my cars is measure and mount the plates where you want them and then mark on the fender the center of the dzus hole.Get the unpainted hood where you want it and mark it for drilling after measuring and finding the center of the dzus hole out from the fender lip.I used a 3/8" drill bit for the dzus hole and a 1" drill bit to champher the fiberglass piece by hand. Its something that looks difficult but is really easy of you measure and take your time,I've had great results

Get a UNIBIT for drilling the holes. Works killer.
