Only when they started leaking. Then I sent them back and had them rebuilt, then I was really upset when they started leaking again.

Man, not what I wanted to hear...too much of a pain to keep taking them off/on. Plus too much $$$ for them to fail. Thanks for the heads up.

I've had my QA1's on all four corners for YEARS and haven't had a problem. I bet I've logged 20k miles on them and they're still fine

No issues out of mine either. single adj QA1 Star series in rear, and the R or is F series in front, (not new dbl adj) w/ QA1 Springs. over 15k miles and lots of track use.

They are great for street use, since they are adjustable you can tighten them up for the street and loosen them at the track. If too loose they suck on the street and the car bounces all over the road. We had ours on for 2 years and the worked great even with the drag springs on the front. One of the shocks did leak as stated above.

I only have about 10-12K on mine but still no signs of any problems yet. My street is horrible too, I have to crawl up it when I have the skinnies on the car to keep from bending one. "R" Series in the front and regular "F"s in the rear. Even if I do have to send them out to be rebuilt every other year they are still worth it.

I've had mine on for 2 years now and nearly 40k miles. I had one shock blow a seal and start leaking about a month after i installed them. I sent it back to QA1 and they rebuilt the shock and sent it back to me no charge. Not a single problem ever since.

So everybody is using the R series on the street? I was thinking about using QA1s drag coilover front system R series for my daily driver 68. They said that theyr not for the street and would do it. But everyone on here isnt having problems except for a few leaking after a while?

Thanks

Kyle

Tom, if you run QA1's and stock front springs it's not bad. I would run the shocks at a middle setting to be like the factory 50/50 rate. If you run 'em too loose they will wear out.

PSJ, any opinions on the Hal 325lb spring vs the stock spring? I bet most folks are using their 275lb spring?????

I have whatever springs they sold in 2000.

I think they are just QA1 now.

I would run stock ones now since the car used to dive with the hal springs up front.

The 275s are more of a drag spring. A 315 or 325 would be MUCH better on the street.

I had mine on all four corners, the rears never leaked, I was just pissed when the fronts blew out after getting them back from being rebuilt. I had less than 10K miles on them total.
