Default What are doing about driveshafts?

I've recentally blow up the posi unit in my 12 bolt. After getting it fixed with a spool there was a terrible sqeaking noise coming from the rear. The shop put it on the lift and pulled the driveshaft and found the bearings in the cup were smashed flat and some broke in half. Well after rigging it up so I could get home I went out and got some new u-joints for it the next day. I have a alum. inland empire direct replacement driveshaft with the front u-joint a 1310 and the rear has a 1310x3R combo u-joint. After taking out the driveshaft and inspecting it I found that the front yoke was cracks all around the the bearing cups . Then on the rear u-joint the big side(3R) of the combo joint had cracks also on the part that go's in the cup. This is no good in my eyes. I had a driveline company quote me a steel 3" with 1350 u-joints and both yokes for $300-350.Now that you read all of this heres my question, will this new setup hold up enough for me when I eventually or hopefully hit 9's then also what setup are you using for a driveshaft?

Since my car is light, I am sourcing a 3.5" aluminum driveshaft.. Seems a lot of fast light racers run them.

I went with the 3.5" Lingenfelter aluminum shaft when I did the below damage to my stocker on Newyears day. I wanted a chrome moly one, but that was the only one I could get overnighted & I needed to be back on the track in 2 days. The Lingenfelter has Spicer yokes on it, but the U-Joint caps are smaller than stock. I haven't been racing much & have had a few problems hooking, so I don't know how the Lingenfelter is going to hold up, but it was also the cheapest one I could find.

Here's the damage to the stocker & the lingenfelter next to it.

Yep! My Stocker DS looks just like that actually.
Twisted it doing a Burn out at the GSFCC DYNO DAY @ Gerhardt's in Baton Rouge.
I went back in with a Custom 3.5" DS made at "Driveline of Baton Rouge Inc."
Made of Hvy. Wall Aluminum and has the 1350 Yokes for my Newly Acquired Moser 9".
Their # is (225) 356-3800. Talk to Scooter (Owner) They can make Any length with
any yoke size. Usually within a day or two. Excellent work!
