Default How much mph do you lose going from DR's to ET Streets?

Like the title says. I was trapping at 110-111 on street tires and Nittos, now with a ported TB and better launch, best I can pull is high 109's. What gives? Does a ET Street really grow that much at the far end of the track?

The DR's are 245/50/16 Nittos, the ET Streets are 26-10.50-16

Any input would be appreciated.

it happens when you hook better. i was doing 119mph then went to slicks and was only getting 116-117ish mph. my 60's droped from 1.9 to 1.6's in the process. the tires will be an inch or so taller at the end.

They grow so they effectively remove some gearing on the top end. Will hurt mph but ET should improve with a better 60 ft, unless you were hooking with the Dr's. If you were already hooking then going to the ET streets could actually slow you down a bit but you'd be more consistent.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was hooking *fairly* well on DR's, but you're right, the ET Streets make the car a lot more consistent. In fact, on my last 10 runs, the 60" has not been more than .11 difference.
