Default can a 26" slick hold a transbrake launch?

My car is finally comin together this week and i have to buy some slicks. my set up is basically a 3100 lb stock internal car with a TH350, 8" 4600 converter and a 4.10 spooled rear end. Do you guys think the 26" Drags will hook on athe brake or is it pointless and i should get some 27's or 28's.
I probably won't be getting a cam till next year so my current set up should stay the same and out last my first set of slicks.
Anybody have some first hand experience?

I think that it will hold. I know my 26x10.5-16 ET streets wouldn't hold the brake, but I didn't expect them to. I was going to change to a 26x10-15 true slick.
