Default burnout

not sure where to post but I know this forum would have the most experience. how long can u safely(without any damage to the car except the tires) do a burnout holding the brake. Also can you start off in second or is it better to shift after you start in first. I have a free foot for the clutch so its not a problem to shift but just wondering which is better for doing a big time burnout like in a contest.

You really need a line lock so as to not f up your rear rotors on a long burn out. and what gear to do the burn out in depends on your rear end gears and rear tire size.

I have 3.42 gears and stock 275 tires. I plan on having 4.10 very soon.
