Drag radial rule question
I'm hearing stories about the new M/T drag radials being banned or not allowed in any NHRA or IRHA drag radial class let alone any class that can use drag radials such as street. Is there any truth to this or is it just stories? Would like to hear from the well seasoned drag racers with the knowledge of the new rules.
thanks
Shawn

they are not allowed in a few classes that are drag radial mandated (treadwear rating and/or BFG sponsering the class, so they can make the rules).
PRO/NMCA doesn't allow them in cheap street or mean street, as they list only BFG and Nitto or any tire meeting 180 or greater treadwear rating allowed. Everyone running drag radials at Bradenton was running BFG's.
Rumors I've been hearing is they work SO well that most "seasoned" drag radial vets and/or organizations don't want them b/c chassis tuning isn't as critical.
