Default Those w/pin on hoods, how did you fasten it down? Please post pics.

Well it probably won't be till next week until I receive my pin on hood, so I have a little time to decide on how to fasten it down. I've done the searches and what it boils down to is the torsion pins or the dzus fasteners. This is my first pin on hood, actually my first aftermarket hood ever, and would like to choose the right hardware to secure/fasten down my hood. Anyhow, will you please post pics of your hood and the hardware you used? Closeups would be nice too. Thanks.

I'm using 4 Sparco hood pins. The dzus fasteners are nice choice too but to me they just seem like they take a long time to unfasten.

Wow, only 4 pins. Have you had any issues? I was told by VFN that I should use at least 3 on each side including front and rear for a total 12. That was on the dzus fasteners though. The ones you have dont look bad at all. I know the dzus are flush, but the pin style dont look bad in my opinion at all. Some do, but not all. Where did buy those pins from? Did those aluminum brackets come with it or did you fabricate them yourself? Thanks for the pics.

We also use four on our hood, much like DopeFedZ does. We have had no problems at all, plus it makes it easier to remove the hood in a hurry to check the vitals after a run. We mounted one on each of the shock towers and the front two on the front nose upper support, that fiberglass gray thing.

I think the name of the site I got the pins is called Robear Racing. More of an import site but they had the cheapest price at the time. The brackets u can make out of aluminum stock.

I don't know what brand they are, but Summit has them at an affordable price. We are using these kind of hood pins:

Id like to do that but for my daily driver my hood could get stolen way too easily.

I got the Sunoco hood. When I get it mounted, gonna have it painted. I like it, but I'll decide if Im going to keep it or not when its painted. I like their regular 4" cowl as well. We'll see.
