Default Race exhaust Bullet only

What size bullet mufflers are you running on your cars for track only.
I am thinking about coming off the long tubes with a 16'' or 23'' ultra flow dynomax 3''.
Thanks
Alan

I run one bullet only, Dynomax 3" x 16. I put it in place of my Hooker CB muffler. Takes about 15min's & I gain 1MPH. Loud as Shxx though...

I have a 24" Dynomax, actually only 18" of muffler, in my I pipe. I then have a cut out, very loud, and then a Hooker cat back. Great set up.

I run ONLY a 12" bullet on each side on my daily driver. This gained 10 rwhp over 3" true duals.

I'm with Rodney on this one. Either 16" bullets off the headers or just turn downs. Oh yea, it's loud

BTW - 12" and 16" bullets are the same thing, just two different measuring points.

What type of header are you running, does it have a removable collector. I used collector mufflers, made from a bullet muffer. Worked real well and didnt have the extra exhaust pipe to deal with. If your interested I will try to get some pics

We ran a pair of 16" bullet directly off of our collectors, with turndowns on the ends. IT WAS VERY LOUD! Now we have the Warlock mufflers due to decible limits at some tracks.

That is an impressive gain over true duals. I guess I have been under the influence of old timers when it comes to car exhaust advice, but I've always been told a crossover of some sort is better for exhaust scavenging leading to more horsepower.

This isn't the first time i've read on this board that people have picked up horsepower just running bullets off the header collector. VERY interesting.

Anyone want to buy a true dual system custom made for a spohn torque arm?

Glad that I seen this thread. I have been debating the same question myself. Kinda loud inside of the car right now. I have to make it more quiet, I am trying to keep some of my hearing for older age...J.J.

I run one 16" dynomax bullet about 1 foot after the y-pipe at the track and on the street. It is very very loud.
