Stock 2002 Z28
What is the fastest anyone has ever seen one run? Stock with the exception of maybe a lid and catback. Could 12.50 be possible? Maybe a 1.80 60'

A stock high-12 second Z28 is pretty rare but possible. I think 12.5 is pushing it a little, I have seen a stock SS run a 12.9 1/4 mile and that is very impressive. Usually F-body 1/4 mile times range from 13.0-13.8

I have an 02 Z28 and breaking into 12s with just a lid and cat-back is not too likely. You will need tires and suspention. It does not take much to do so though. Just need to know where to put your money. If you have an M6 you are more likely with excelent driving. I know my car can be faster than I can push it. Autos with just these mods are un heard of in the 12s without a stall. To get a 12.5X with just lid and cat-back would take some serious driving and a good set of tires.

slp lid and cutout ran 12.80 in a auto.. cutout was behind cats before the muffler..
now, i ran the same 1/8th mile time at the local track before the cutout as i did that day in the 1/4mile. not sure if it helped me up top or not, but i believe it had a 12.90 in it anyways... car was light from the factory tho, and it was about 80 degrees outside also.
