Default Looking for a better run.

Friday night drags opened up last night, and to my disappointment my best time was 15.4 (In central colorado, crap altitude). All I have right now is TSP Rumbler, Whisper Air LID, and FRA mod. What can I do to get into the mid 14's without breaking the wallet? I know I need new tires, and work on my launch. I also want to do headers and T/D's but that isnt exactly in my budget. And there is no way I am going to spray my engine, so what other options do I have to accomplish my goal?

Could you post your timeslip? Or at least your 60' and trap speed.

There's a bunch of things that you can do.... definately get yourself a set of drag radials, and if the original clutch is in the car.. I'd replace that too. 97K is alot of miles... so wear is probably showing on alot of things. I'd get under the car, see if there's any signs of suspension components that could be worn ( bushings, etc. ) and go from there.

Practice! Practice! Practice! Your car should EASILY run 14's as it is right now.
