WTF, freak!?
So we're at the strip last night in the staging lanes and this kid comes up to talk to me. He's asking about my nitrous setup and all, then I look over and notice he's only one car ahead of me in line and drives a newer Z28. Well, we get to talking about his car and he tells me it's some kinda edition car, basically, used to be a state patrol car. Anyway, his mods were: lid, tune, Pacesetter LT's, ORY, ZEX wet kit @ 125hp. Stock converter, stock gears, stock rear. We talked about dyno numbers and all, and I told him I made 367/401 on a 75 shot through an unlocked converter.....well he said he made 377/375 on MOTOR and on a Mustang dyno. He then said he made 499/597 on the 125 shot on the same Mustang dyno. So here I am, stunned and in disbelief. Well, finally our lines start moving. We get to the end of the line and the guy motioning for us to go lets someone else run by himself, so it's just him and I. He looks over and smiles, as do I, thinking about to spank a liars ***.
Finally, we line em up. He goes 7.547 @ 94.524!!! Oh yea, he had STREET tires on and only went a 1.83 short time. He also went 8.0 on motor last night. This was with around 2000DA. What is going on? Is my nitrous kit that weak? Is there somehow a way a cam and heads found their way onto his car? Was he lying about his mods? What does the state trooper cars consist of?

did you dyno 325rw unlocked or locked?
He had to have something more than that for 377 on a mustang dyno...unless the operator didn't know what he was doing (weight and correction settings off).

94.524mph in the 1/8 doesn't really back up the 499rwhp claim especially from a mustang dyno. My car went 94mph with 390-400rwhp N/A.
If he's doing 499rwhp on a mustang dyno it should trap in the 100mph range.
8.0 in the 1/8 mile would be right around a 10:1 Weight to Horsepower ratio. Figure out what the car's race weight is then devide by 10. That should get you pretty close to the horsepower he's putting to the ground.
There doesn't seem to be anything freakish about the car.

I made 325 on the stock unlocked converter. I only made 305/333 with the unlocked 3600 in it.
Him running 7.5x with far less mods than me is freakish...at least, to me. Unless his wet kit makes THAT much dif? Best I ever went was a 7.656 with a 1.66 short time on Nitto's.
I guess he could be way lighter....
