Default Anybody running a Manual Steering Setup?

I have a BMR Kmember with a Flaming River Manual Setup.. Just wondering what I'm gonna have to do to make the belt work without the power steering? Do they make a delete pulley or can you just buy a shorter belt and re-route it? I havent really looked at it much but figured someone could tell me..

TIA,
Matt

You can use a shorter belt. I'm just not sure what the size is or part #. Maybe do a search or wait till someone else reads this.

It is a 51in belt, and you may have to remove the lower alt braket bolt.

I *think* Thunder offers manual steering racks, as well as a couple other sponsers. Give those who sell them a call, they have to know something about their own products.

Measure it with a string line. It's the only correct way to do it. Kinda like asking "what length of pushrods should I run w/ this heads/cam setup?"

I installed manual rack/pinion steering in my '01 SS and it sucked big time as a street car.

I'm not worried about it.. I'll be running skinnies up front most of the time anyways..

I was just trying to find out what size belt before I tore it apart and then got stuck looking for one that would fit.. I've used the string method before, just wanted to get it all taken care off before the swap goes down. And yes, I have an ASP pulley as well..

Thanks for the replies- Matt
