when i was still an M6 i was putting down 424/420 and spraying 150 wet. i was at 3600 lbs, had 4.10 gears and a ram clutch.
the ram took all the abuse i could throw at it, but the tranny didn't. i guess all those 5k launches on the 150 shot took their toll. i blew up the input shaft and twisted the output shaft. i was cutting high 1.5's.
suspension: BMR track pak TA, BMR adj chromoly rod end LCA, stock everything else.

Moser 9" 35 spline axles, spool. SPEC stage 5 clutch. Fully cryo treated and REM polished pro-shifted T56, with only 4 gears. Works like a champ.

Last year's low 10 sec setup was Moser 12 bolt, D&D trans with 30 spline output, McLeod street twin. Suspension setup is critical as with any racecar.

That is BADASS! I would have loved to do what you are doing but after the tranny took a couple of dumps on me i just fixed it and went th350. I guess it didn't help that i was 3600 lb's huh?

those gears and your vehicle weight help that immensely.. still lucky though.

all the parts that support the load (gears/shafts/case) are all stock on mine still. they are good tranny's.

I broke a couple of stockers. The D&D held up fine although I was concerned about it's health behind the new SB2 nitrous motor so I sold it. Have a fully built G-Force T56 now. We'll see how that works.

keep us posted as to how tha g force tranny works out. Those things are coin though.. I saw what they are getting for them... I could do a whole th350/400 swap for the cost of the tranny alone... kinda leaning towards the auto when my stocker finally pukes on me.. I know those tend to have no problems. Probably fix my driving too.

ran 10's with a best of 10.75 all last year with my old 383 setup with a small cam. best 60' of 1.47 and tons of low 1.5X's. steele 3/4 shift fork and carbon fiber blocker rings. well over 100 passes on the T56. runnin a moser spool with 4.10's. Qa1's all around with stock SS springs. BMR xtreme duty tq arm, billingsly anti-sway bar, hotchkis lca/panhard.
swapped to a 408 and cut consistant mid 1.4X 60's and best to date 10.53. spec 3i lasted most of last year and went through another one quickly (~20passed). switching to a stage 5.

as long as you DON'T MISS SHIFTS, a T56 will last a long time.

same untouched stock tranny for the last 2 seasons. Ram910 clutch, Moser 9" (strange center), detroit locker, 35 spline axles 4.71 (now 4.56) gearing

Been 1.43 60' but think I have found the underlying chassis issue keeping the car from 60-footing hard

9.90s@140mph stock T56, FMS motor w/200 shot of gas, 4:56s, 28" ET Drags.... Never blinked an eye. Tore it apart to Pro Shift and everything was in perfect working order. As said above, dont miss gears and it will last.

I made a pass Friday only putting down maybe 370rwhp and slamming gears like mad. At the end of the run my tranny didn't want to come out of 4th and on the drive home kept popping out of 3rd, SOMETIMES sticking in 4th a bit. At 2am in the garage (couldn't sleep) went through the gears 1st through 6th with the car off a few times and the next day the tranny drove like nothing happened? I've driven it a bit more and it seems OK. Any ideas?
