Default Torque arm mounting question

I have a S&W TA I bought used. It has a shackel on the front mount that has a polyurithane bushing on one end and a solid connection on the other. I was told to leave these loose but It rattles like a bitch so I thightnted the bushing side and snugges the solid side up. Does this sound right?

It sould be loose enough to allow the T/A to move forward n back freely.

Basically get it right to the point where it does not rattle.

Thanks, It does sound better than it did. I tightened the end with the bushing because the rest of the bushinged componets(panhard rod,LCAs) are suppose to be tight so I thought this one might be too
