Default Weight reduction for FAT daily driver

I know this is the "drag" forum, but hopefully you guys can help me out. My car is a PIG. The car weighs in at just over 3800. The car is my daily driver and rarely sees the track. I'd like to reduce the weight as much as possible while still keeping the everyday features intact (most of the stuff on the weight reduction sticky are things that I feel really should be there for everyday street use). Can you guys give me your opinion as to where you feel I could save/lose weight.

Thanks!

I've read the sticky. If this was a full drag car I wouldn't be asking this question. Being that its a street car, I don't want to take off sway bars of lose the air bags, etc... The car needs to be fully functional as a daily driver. What I'm looking for is your opinions as to what you think I can lose given this restriction. Ideally, I'd like to hear from people who have done weight reduction on their daily drivers, i.e. what they've done, how much they lost, and what effect it had on the safety/functionality of the car as a daily driver.

There are several items in that list that you can do and still retain some stock functionality.

Sound deadening material under the carpet
Spare tire and jack removal
Rear Seat removal

These 3 come to mind first.

My car is a daily driver. 90+ miles a day everyday and i got it down to 3050 with me in it.
You just need to stop being scared and go ***** to the wall with the weight reducion.
I still need race brakes all the way around, race seats, hals all the way araound and front lower control arms.
I wanna get it down to 2900 with me in it and still keep it as my daily driver.

WOW - what have you done? Im willing to sacrifice comfort outside of losing the air conditioning and heater. I am unwilling to sacrifice safety though...

Again, what Im looking for is opinions as what you think I can lose given that it is a daily driver. There is tons of items listed in the sticky - of the items listed, what could safely be removed given that it is a street car.

Well first off i ditched all the "safety" stuff. both door bars, front and rear bumper supports, no A/C, no heater, no power steering, no ABS, lw carpet, lw battery, lw coolant catch can, tubular K member, welds all the way aroun all the time, no cat back just a bullet off of each header, lw tranny crossmember, no center console, no radio(consists of all speakers, harness', amps and antenna, about 40 lbs all together), changed my mild steel bolt in 6 point for a chromoly weld in 5 point(theres about 40 lbs) and did ALOT of cutting and 3" hiole sawing.

Tubular suspension would help lose weight and still keep it streetable. Lighter seats, lighter carpet...etc.

You sound like V6 bird. I guess everyone need an excuse on why they're slow.
So there is absolutely no weight saving things in your car? you still have the back seats, spare tire and jack? Some people just go farther than others.

Throw 500lbs back in the car and see how fast it is

I still have full leather interior including the back seats.

No spare and jack (N20 bottle there)

I have no problem with you doing that to your car just dont call it a street car.
Call a spade a spade, its a gutted race car that you drive on the street.

Who cares what it's called? If he drives it on the street all the time, why isn't it a street car? I tend to think along your lines, but keep it to myself and remember "to each his own". He is more willing to make sacrifices in the name of speed. I wish I was.

To me a true street car MUST have a/c and heat, but that's just me. If you can go without either of those, more power to you.

If he says he drives it 90 miles a day it sounds like a street car to me even if it is gutted.
