Is the BMR mount same as stock or different? I have bent the stock mount all to ford, but, a little vise, some heat and vice grips bent it back into shape. I use a Ploy TA mount now and havent had any issues.

I just stumbled across this thread, but I corrected the problem permanently by drilling two holes 5/16 holes at the top of steal mount shell holder and installing bolts through them once it is all bent back to it's original shape. It won't bend out again. I've tested mine with 1.42 60fts and it's still solid. I'll try to snap a few pics of it so you'll see what I'm talking about.

y wouldnt you just get the bmr relocation crossmember , id spend 200bucks any day over gheto rigging my car hoppin that it held up without bending while you are still putting the stress on the tranny case wheter the mount holds are not . just do it the right way, i have the relocation kmember and i have gone multiple 1.3's beating the crap out of my torque arm and its solid as a rock and no stress load on the tranny.

The BMR TA relocation mount and adjustable TA work good. You can set/adjust instant center and Pinion angle. I'm running that combo w/a 3" TD x-pipe system, and everything clears nicely. I'm also down on the tires about 1-1/2". No clearance issues w/the mount. 60' went down also.

I put in the BMR mount tonight with my already installed RT TA, looks beefy. I'm not liking the clearance (or lack thereof) where adjustments are to be made, its not impossible but certainly not a quick process. Plus, now my torque arm hits the tunnel. Not sure how close it was before? And I can't get the bolt out of my tranny that held the top mount of the stock TA. I guess its just gonna have to rattle around! Had to cut the bolt that is attatched to the original mount, it wouldn't come out with the tranny in.
The crossmember does hang lower than the stocker, but not lower than my TD's. Right now my car runs 1.5x 60' times all motor, with a best of 1.53. I intend to hit it with a 100-125 shot off the line when I spray, so I was concerned about breaking the tail shaft. I yank the front tires about 2-3 inches now, and on the gun it might get a little higher. Its just more solid now, I'd recommend it!

I cut out and swapped the stock rubber torque arm isolator into the BMR crossmember (using stock torque arm). I'm always fighting to keep the car as civilized as possible as I try and go faster. No vibration at all.

It was probably your headers holding the engine up, the last time I pulled the trans the headers had to be disconnected to get the tailend to come down far enough to get to the upper trans bolts.
