What's required to fit a 29.5x10.5x15 ET Drag?
I have a Strange 12 bolt with the stock length, 15x9.75 (10) Bogart Bolted RTs, and stock rear brakes. I plan on doing lightweight brakes in the future, not sure if that has any affect. Anyhow, I would like to run a 29.5x10.5x15 and was wondering what needs to be done. I'm not referring to the (W) wide tires. Thanks.

Remove the bumpstop brackets and grind them off. Lots of grinding in that area. Then the BFH comes into play. 7.5" back spacing will then work for you.
OR you could mini tub.

Well I like the minitubbing idea better than just beating the hell out of my fenders mainly because its going to look better and in my opinion, it'll be easier. Plus I could use the wide version. How much wider is it than the regular 10.5 and does it make a difference? I ran into a thread while doing a search and it looks as if Wolfe is in the process of making a kit. Would you recommend spending the money on a kit or doing it yourself? Lastly, if I take care of the fender issue, am I going to have to change up anything else? I have a Strange 12 bolt, stock length, stock rear brakes, and 15x10 Bogart Bolted RTs. Thanks.

Well some things have changed...I have a new rear end on the way. It's still going to be a Strange 12 bolt, but will consist of a 4.56 gear, spool, and will be narrowed 3 inches per side. I also ordered it with the Strange rear drag brakes. I got rid of my 15x10 Bogart Bolted RTs with 7.5" backspacing and will be running a set of 15x10 Bogart Floyd RTs with 5" of backspacing and no spacer welded to the backside. Anyhow, I was wondering with all those changes and different components, what is still going to be required? What is the best tool for the cleanest yet most accurate way to cut the fenders? How much do I cut off and where about? Do I need to roll the top portion of the fender? I removed the bump stops. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you've already got the narrowed rear and wheels, just bolt everything up and see what things look like first. I wouldn't spend the $$$ unless I absolutely had to tub it.
Me personally, I wouldn't tub it anyway, people expect so much more from a "tubbed" car...JMO

Well I guess that depends on what you consider a "big tire" car. Around here, a 29.5x10.5 ain't it.
Usually (at least here), when people talk about a big tire car they're reffering to a narrowed up car with a 15"+ wide tire.
What I meant with my comment was that I wouldn't full tub/mini tub a car just to fit a 29.5x10.5. People will expect big tire #'s and you'll have a 10.5...

i bought the Wolfe mini tub kit. havent got around to installing the kit yet. i am still in the diassembley stage with the car. i am planning on a Billingsley fab 9 narrowed 2 inches per side. i figure the mini tubs will give me more options and room to grow. when i get around to putting the tubs in a will post lots of pics.
