Default Anybody run Competition Engineering 3way drag shocks?

I was looking through a mag, and saw these. Anyone try them? Would they be a worth while mod? Only about 40 bucks a piece.

Are they street friendly? I don't drive my car very much, just want to know how they feel. Did they lower your 60's?

depends on what you call "street friendly". Most "loose drag shocks" will take away some cornering ability, and may add a little more suspension travel, but since mine is a "toy" driven a few times a week, I don't mind whatever effects they might add (plus I have a full spool and manual steering as well, so not a corner-carver by any means!) If you are looking for something more street friendly, adjustable shocks are a little better due to the ability to tighten/loosen them for more predictable results. The offset is more expensive though. for the $200 I spent for 4 shocks, I'm happy. They didn't lower my 60 foots much over gas shocks (at the time I was running mid 12s), but they made hooking MUCH MORE CONSISTENT.

Hope this helps!

My car is also a (toy) I mostly drive to cruise or take it to the track. I'm basically just looking to bring out all the potential my car has, before I build my motor. So loosing some cornering, doesn't really bother me. I want PERFORMANCE, and the cheaper the better. lol

i have a buddy also w/ qa1 r series up front, and comp engineering's in the back w/ a 6 speed, i think i remember him consistantly running 1.6's and better. very streetable, he even drives his car to the track w/ the fronts on 1 and the back set to full drag, slick'd and skinnies.. it drives fine, floats a lil but its not that bad.
