Default Need drive shaft loop soloution

I finally have the rear end & the clutch to attempt some harder launches but before I go to the track again I think I'd be very wise to invest in a D/S loop. My problem is that when TR custom built a Y-pipe for my hooker long tube headers they had to remove the cross-member behind the trans cross member. All the D/S loops I have found so far bolt right in to this spot. I dont even have the box on the RH floor board that the cross-member yoused to bolt up to, it was moved to get more clearance for the exhaust. What I need is a loop that I can weld or bolt to the floor pan or inside of the D/S tunnel. Anyone have any suggestions? Mods, I hope I posted this in the right forum. If not I apologize.

Thanks

Damn that does suck....... You could try and weld it but you might run into problems with taking other things of if its welded. I have a DSSL for sale if ya want it you can have it for $50 shipped..... thats about 1/2 of one brand new and you can try and weld it....... Not really trying to make a sale cause i dont care ifit sells or not...... you can try it....

i have pretty much the exact same problem

only i didnt fix it before i went to the track and on the third pass i busted the hell outta the ds. so as a slightly temp solution i got what should be an indestructable ds

20-40 passes later no problem, but i still need to figure out how to get a loop in there

Use the Jegs driveshaft loop-You'll have to trim it to put it closer to the trans. tailshaft housing.

I'll look into this too, are you talking about a universal DSSL?

X2 - you can fab a bracket to bolt to the torque arm- you don't have to weld it...

You could see if Wizzard Race cars there in Holden,LA could fab you one. Jason Woods owns the place. He installed my cage as well as Allan Futrals and Gordons. He has a plasma cutter so he could design it on the computer and then cut it out. Mad Man could probably build you one also.
