dam, wtf kinda tire you runing, that is deep 11 sec mph but like 15 sec car 60's, you got to get some traction and you will see easy 11's on even 1.9's

If you are pedaling out of the hole its possible you might gain some mph, although unlikely. You won't know til you try it out.

Peace,
Josh

Generally no. BUT and I do stress but for example if you are running 100mph with a 2.4 60 foot and you dont change anything on the car as far as things that are traction related (i.e. lower tire psi, remove sway bar, add tire psi to the fronts etc etc) and you actually just drive better and maybe get a 2.1 60 foot.

Then you should gain mph. Most times ive seen with my nitto drag radials, if I dump the psi, my mph goes down, 60 foot goes down, and so does et. But when I leave them higher and get a good hook (as good of a hook with the lower psi) I gain mph.

Thats the only way i can explain it becuase it personally happens to me and the people who i race with consistantly, the time slips tell all

my automatic car....the better i hook, the more mph i will trap. been like that for the last few hundred passes. hazing the tires will result in gaining mph though. but blowing the tires away, you will loose the mph.

with a 2.3 60' i'm sure you're getting excessive wheel spin .you "should" pick up 2 mph or so with better traction.

im getting shitty traction too i see about 2.1-2.3 60' times. my 2.1 would have been my best mph if i didnt hit the limiter in 1st. i think once you get down to about 1.9-2.0 on the 60's your mph will keep going up but once you get below that it may steady out or drop a little. but who cares as long as the et is getting better.

i was wondering the same though wondering if my trap will get better. my friend seemed to get his best mph with a 2.0 60 foot

Dropping the tire pressure and losing MPH are related. By lowering the tire pressure, you increase rolling resistance, hence decreasing your MPH. However, it's likely your 1/8 mph remained pretty close to the same.

Generally, hooking better will increase your MPH. However, hooking hard and bogging will KILL your MPH. If you get a dead hook and don't bog, everything will improve, including MPH.

Went to slicks, dropped 2 mph and picked up 4 tenths.
