Default Finally going to try launching off the TBrake...

I am hoping since the track wont be prepped to much if any, that the rearend holds up..at least a few passes to allow me to dial in the new T Brake launch technique, and get some tuning done. I'm not expecting to run much better overall, I know the drop in 60' will help the ET a lot, as will the new 1 7/8" headers and 3" Y Pipe. But, I haven't done gears yet, waiting on the rear to **** the bed, then I can explain to my accountant, the wife, why that new 9" is a NEEDED item and not a WANTED item

Previous runs on street tires netted a 2.03, 12.60 @ 111mph. So, we'll see what comes next. Oh yeah, adding some timing and some fuel, currently running 20* at the top, and too lean overall, I want to get it in the 12.7 at tq, and 13.1 on the top.

If all goes well tonight, the juice will come on next w/e.

Well, got some good results from tonight. It took me a couple runs to figure out the whole process, basically get comfortable with it. Then I got the lights down to .630, .632, .631 for the last three. Need to leave a hair earlier on the tree. Still dont have my Harlan Shiftlight hooked up, been too busy lately. But here are the run breakdowns:

time 60' 8th et 8th mph ET MPH
7:21 1.68 7.38 94.55 11.572 116.81
7:30 1.75 7.52 93.61 11.75 115.67
8:39 1.7 7.46 95.55 11.69 116.01
8:47 1.73 7.49 93.75 11.71 116.2
10:42 1.74 7.49 94.1 11.7 116.28

Couldnt log but one run, and havent looked at it all yet, but it definately needs tuning, bad. So I'll be working on that this weekend and next week. I hope to have it hammered out so I can spray next w/e. These runs were made with 420 miles on the new shortblock.

I would put more timing in it.

Well, w/o the power cable for the laptop, that wasnt too much of a possibility. And, the headers are rubbing a couple spots, so until that fixed, its givng me a bunch of false KR. My low octane is typical High octane -4*. Nex time I hope to have the exhaust out of the way, at least a teaser prep on the track, and then the logging hooked up with charging cable. Appreciate the advice and look forward to doing that.

Nice times bro.. But, it does sound like you need some tuning for sure. Especially with the timing. Get that thing tuned in and show us some 10's.. Goodluck

1Quick...I'd love to turn some 10's NA, but havent seen an LSx in Hawaii do it yet. Maybe some more weight reduction, tuning, 90mm TB, tuning, 90mm Intake, tuning, prepped track, and more tuning I am trying though. First fix is getting the exhaust clear of the body.
